Calculate your BMI!
Here is a great way to understand your current weight situation. It is called the Body-Mass Index. You need to know your weight and your height. The number calculated tells you something about your health. It assumes that your weight represents not your lean body mass, but your degree of obesity if you will. In other words, if you are ripped, and you are a body builder, then your BMI may be high but does not represent obesity. On the other hand, if you are not in shape, it can give you a reasonable number to understand the relationship between your weight and your height. It happens that when your BMI is above 25, then the probability of ill-health increases. The trick is to get it below 25. Somewhere between 20 and 25 is ideal. Here is the calculator:
